Important Schedule Change for Beginning Strings!
For this year only, Beginning Strings classes will temporarily move to the 11:30 AM slot, which was previously designated for Intermediate Band. The kids from Intermediate band last year will be playing with the Concert Band this year.
Who:
1st Semester:
Homeschool students ages 9-18 who have no previous string experience.
2nd Semester:
Returning string members from the first semester and new students
that are at the same level of note reading and playing
that have auditioned with Ms. Meloy.
Time: 11:30-12:30 A.M.
Cost: $100 + $25 insurance/cleaning fee due at first rehearsal​
Concert Dress: White shirt (button down preferred), black pants, black shoes and socks. No logos on shirts.

Beginning String instruments are violin, viola, cello, and double bass.​
Supply list: (what you must bring to class):
An instrument that is in good repair, rosin, chin rest, Essential Elements Book 1 (we will start the year in this method), folding music stand, 3 ring binder (must be able to stay open on music stand), 6 plastic sheets, and 2 pencils.

All students should arrive 10 minutes before rehearsal time, and be set up and ready to play at 11:20.

All cell phones MUST be turned off and stored in instrument cases during rehearsals.

Children must remain in the building at all times from the time they are dropped off until they are picked up.

We are not allowing any outside play.

Please take off shoes and boots at the door if they are muddy.
